The village of Yunquera is situated 50 km to the north of Marbella and 38 km to the east of Ronda.
Sierra de las Nieves Nature Park is known for its outstanding beauty, not only for its wonderful views, but also for its biodiversity. You find a large pristine forest of Pinsapo trees, the unique Spanish fir tree which are native to this region of Andalucía.
Quite often you are able to see the Iberian Ibex, Cabra Montes, on the rocky slopes of the limestone mountains, as well as various birds of prey (like the golden eagle, peregrine falcons) soaring in the skies.

Mirador de Luis Ceballos
It is a big open space which gives you a window to the Nature Park and you will find some information boards here, which give you an insight of this unique area of the Sierra de las Nieves.
The viewpoint "Mirador de Luis Ceballos" can be reached by car. Various stone benches around the viewpoint make an ideal place to have a picnic and take in the ambience and the panoramic views.
Peñon de los Enamorados (Lovers Peak)
The hike to the peak of Peñon de los Enamorados (1460 m) is about 3,2 km hike from the Mirador de Luis Ceballos along a narrow foot path and of approx. 300 meters elevation.

Eras are paved circular areas located in well vented places.
They were used by farmers for threshing cereal harvests.
If you look closely you can see the circular areas.
